  • Another excellent sermon,  I wonder with all of the hurricanes, tornadoes, fires, and earthquakes we have had over the last while, whether we’re getting a message from God.
  • I liked hearing this story again, so clearly told.  I was moved by your emphasis on reminding people that no matter how much trouble they have or how hopeless their lives may seem, that Jesus is always with them, ready to take their hands and lead them to safety and peace.  -DeKalb Illinois
  • Wow, what a prescient topic to preach on right now.  We pray for all those affected in these disaster areas, with so many of our Christian brothers and sisters scrambling to put their lives back together, so much hurt and despair.  Hard to piece it all together sometimes when we consider that God allows these events but can’t possibly due to his nature, sanction or like it.  Fortunately, He is ready and able to comfort and restore largely by way of his followers who jump in to serve.  Thanking God for those many, many folks who will directly help and repair and comfort. – Santa Barbara, CA.
  • Lots of interesting history and love the golfing joke. – Redding, CA.

  • Dear God, my arrow is stretched further than it has ever been stretched before and the pain of holding my bow much longer is unthinkable. I scream now for even more patience. I will never lose faith. -Crescent City, CA
  • I really enjoyed the joke at the beginning. I was wondering where you were going with telling a joke to start the sermon, but I joined the crowd, laughing out loud as I listened. I had not heard that joke before. I also appreciated the message on perseverance. Romans 8:28 has continued to speak to me over the last several weeks and your message reinforced the sense that God is not in the business of causing pain, suffering or the evil in the world, but that God is working all things together for good. Thanks Lane! -Sacramento, CA
  • We finally were able to get together and hear your latest sermon. Ruth said your message was wonderful and she really enjoyed it. We like your thoughts on perseverance – not giving up on God but continuing to pray expecting a good outcome. It seems to me the worst thing we can do is to give up on God and not talk to him at all. We are His children, and as parents we always want to hear from our children no matter what.
We are really looking forward to your next three sermons coming up in September!
    God bless!  -DeKalb, Illinios

My mother in law  is staying with us while visiting from down south and she attended the service last Sunday at the Presbyterian church in Eureka. She was very happy to hear your sermon and said she always enjoys listening to you when you do give the sermon.
